Possible Changes Coming Soon

In my quest to streamline my available web time, I've come to the conclusion that I may need to make a major change to our directory. I might end up turning our directory into a database website.

I've never thought that websites using databases do that well in the search engines so I've always shied away from using asp pages.

Although the static pages I am using do much better in search engines, they are a lot of work to keep updated. As our directory ages, I am getting more and more requests to update breeder listing info. I feel it is very important to keep breeder listings current with up-to-date info but this currently-manual task is one of the most time-consuming aspects of my website.

Because of all this manual work, I find myself bogged down without extra time to move forward by improving the directory or adding new pages for new breeds, or.....working on the many many pictures I still have waiting for the breed gallery pages.

If I can turn this site over to a database setup, updating and changing listings will become a breeze to do and allow me more time to work on adding breed pages and keeping pictures updated.

This is nothing more than a thought at this point...I need some help to begin this project.....so I'll keep you all posted if I actually decide to move forward.
